Controllers will be mainly based in the iBus control centres with garage / road based work from any location from within Arriva London.
As a first line of support, the position of controller is high profile both to the public and to our own staff. This post may also involve responsibility for opening and closing garages and representing Arriva London at meetings with any necessary follow up actions and reports.
- Ability to take charge of various situations dealing with staff and public in a clear and polite manner.
- Good knowledge of bus operations, contracts, performance standards is essential along with a good working knowledge of computers.
- PCV licence is preferred.
- Good customer service, tact, discretion, flexibility, thinking on your feet, good personal appearance and attitude are essential to fulfil the role with good leadership, ensuring we provide a quality bus service.
The selection process will be assessment and interview based. There will also be some upfront online tests to complete.
Successful applicants will initially be placed on a training course that forms part of the selection process. On attaining the required standard, any appointment made will carry a probationary period.
