Ten new buses for Arriva London’s recently retained route 340
Arriva London’s Watford Garston garage is proud to have retained one of its most important routes, route 340.
The route which operates from Edgware to Harrow, has been renewed for a further five-year contract.
As part of the new contract Arriva London have invested in ten new Wrightbus StreetDeck double deck buses, which both the public and the drivers are extremely happy with.
Tyrone Parris a driver with Arriva London for over five years on route 340 said:-
“The new buses are really fantastic, they’re so easy to use. The passengers absolutely love them, they always mention them when they get on”
Watford engineering manager Kevan Marshall said:-
“It’s great news to have these vehicles in our fleet. The StreetDecks are more technologically advanced than our other buses and feature a superior engine and braking system.”
The vehicle is powered by a four-cylinder Daimler diesel engine and features improved airflow, reduced solar gain in the upper deck, wireless bell pushes and revised handpole fixings.We’re delighted with them as are our passengers.”

Last summer, we were delighted to be awarded the contract from TfL to operate route W4 running from Oakthorpe Park Estate to Tottenham Ferry Lane estate, operating from Wood Green garage.
As part of our commitment to developing our business, we invest heavily in training for all of our staff to offer the great customer experience. We also look at other ways in which we can develop our relationships with the communities we serve, and allow them the opportunity of learning about our processes and to meet some of the team.
Over the past few months we have been working with TfL, conducting Accessibility Awareness forums at our garages.
